With the Policy of private sector participation in Small Hydro Power development in the early eighties, there was need for Engineering Services to be provided to private developers and turn-key contracting agencies. ECI was established as proprietary concern in 1984 to cater to such specific services for Small Hydro development and we were the only such consultant in India till mid ninetees in the small scale sector offering comprehensive and economic solutions at affordable fees.
